Arindam Paul is the pen name of a long-time expatriate who spent decades living and working in Tokyo — not as a visitor, but as someone who made the city his home. He is a painter. He speaks the language — not just Japanese, but the subtler dialect of a culture that does not reveal itself easily to outsiders.
